Metal Finishing
When the Bronze has cooled off and
ready to be handled, the shell is
divested (broken off), the gates are
cut and the sculpture is sandblasted,
then chased (cleaned up) - as My Phuong
is pictured doing.

| Patination
Once the Bronze sculpture mirrors
the original, the piece goes through
a chemical coloring process called
Patina. This can be applied either
hot or cold, depending on the color
the artist specifies. After the patina
is applied, the piece is waxed and
ready to go.
